Mr. Renny Johnson is the Group Chairman & Managing Director of ROYAL KING HOLDING, a diversified business group headquartered in the Sultanate of Oman. A visionary entrepreneur and accomplished business leader, he brings over 30 years of international experience spanning hospitality, travel & tourism, trading, logistics, media, events, warehousing and food & beverage industries.
Mr. Johnson is a graduate of Mahatma Gandhi University and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He has also earned an Honors Degree in Information and Systems Management and a Master’s Degree in Management from S.A.T. Following his schooling at Abu Dhabi Indian School and his University Studies in India, he pursued three years of higher education at Dallas University, USA.
A Certified Internal Auditor, Mr. Johnson holds a Quality Management System Certification (ISO 9001:2001) from Bureau Veritas and is a Six Sigma Development Champion Black Belt. He is currently preparing to pursue a Doctorate (PhD) in Management, further strengthening his commitment to continuous professional development and leadership excellence.
Throughout his career, Mr. Johnson has completed numerous professional certifications and executive development programs through globally recognized organizations including IBM, Microsoft Corporation, Amazon, Tesla Inc., leading international airlines, tourism boards and hospitality service providers. His dedication to innovation and global business exposure has enabled him to stay at the forefront of emerging industry trends and business practices.
As a business leader, he has represented his organizations at many of the world’s most prestigious international trade fairs, exhibitions, and business forums, including Canton Fair (China), BAUMA (Germany), CES (USA), IMTS (USA), ANUGA (Germany), FIBO (Germany), BIAE (China), Techtextil (Germany), ITB Berlin, WTM London, ITB Asia Singapore, PATA Malaysia, EIBTM Geneva, AIME Australia and ILTM Cannes, among numerous others.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Mr. Johnson has held senior leadership positions within several prominent organizations across the Middle East, including Dnata Group, Khalifa Group, Boodai Group, IFA Group, Zawawi Group, and Barakah Holding. Prior to establishing ROYAL KING HOLDING, he served as Group Chief Executive Officer for companies associated with Sultan Haitham’s Company. His professional journey has also provided opportunities to work alongside and engage with respected regional business leaders, including Sheikh Khalifa, Mr. Marwan Boodai, Mr. Jassim Al Bahar, Saeed Al Hajri and other internationally recognized personalities. These experiences have contributed significantly to his strategic leadership capabilities, commercial insight and global business network.
Today, Mr. Johnson is fully dedicated to the growth and expansion of ROYAL KING HOLDING, which operates across multiple business sectors including Trading & Warehousing, Hospitality Management, Travel & Tourism, Media & Communications, Event Management and Food & Beverage Distribution. Under his leadership, the Group has established itself as a dynamic and growing enterprise committed to delivering world class products and services while contributing to the economic development of Oman and the wider region.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Mr. Johnson has also made notable contributions to the Indian film industry. He has produced several successful films, including Osthi, Bejawada, Legend, Nawal The Jewel etc. In addition, he is Co-Producer and Executive Producer on more than 31 Indian film projects, demonstrating his passion for media, entertainment and creative industries. He has also established himself as a talented actor, appearing in more than 27 South Indian films, further reflecting his versatility and entrepreneurial spirit.
Mr. Johnson is currently based in the Sultanate of Oman, where he resides with his family. He is married to Mrs. Anitha Johnson and they are blessed with two children, Mr. Andrew Johnson and Ms. Andrea Johnson.
