BRIEF NOTE
Mr. Johnson is the Group Chairman & Managing Director of Royal King Holding. He is a graduate of Mahatma Gandhi University and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA). In addition, he has earned an Honors Degree in Information and Systems Management and a Master’s Degree in Management from S.A.T. He also pursued three years of higher education at Dallas University, USA, following his schooling at Abu Dhabi Indian School.
A certified Internal Auditor, Mr. Johnson holds a Quality Management Certification (ISO 9001:2001) from Bureau Veritas. He is also a Six Sigma Development Champion Black Belt and is currently preparing to pursue a PhD in Management.
Throughout his career, Mr. Johnson has acquired numerous professional certifications from globally recognized institutions and corporations, including IBM, Microsoft Corporation, Amazon, Tesla Inc., as well as various international airlines, tourism boards and service & hospitality . He has actively represented his ventures at leading global trade fairs and exhibitions such as Canton Fair – China, BAUMA – Germany, CES – USA, IMTS – USA, ANUGA – Germany, FIBO – Germany, BIAE – China, Techtextil – Germany, ITB Berlin, WTM – London, ITB Asia – Singapore, PATA – Malaysia, EIBTM -Geneva, AIME Australia, and ILTM – Cannes among others.
With over 30 years of professional experience, Mr. Johnson has been associated with several prominent organizations across the Middle East, holding key leadership roles within groups such as Dnata Group, Khalifa Group, Boodai Group, IFA Group, Zawawi Group, and Barakah Holding. During his career, he has had the privilege of professional engagement and interaction with distinguished regional leaders and business figures, including Sultan Haitham, Skh Khalifa as well as respected industry leaders such as Mr. Marwan Boodai and Mr. Jassim Al Bahar, among others. These associations have provided him with valuable exposure to high level business environments and strategic decision making. His roles have also involved extensive international travel, representing his organizations across global markets and fostering strong relationships with partners and stakeholders worldwide.
He is now fully involved in business of Royal King Holding and the company is into various business verticals such as Trading & Warehousing, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, Media, Event Management and Food & Beverage. The group is one of the ROYAL KING HOLDING is the premier company in the Sultanate of Oman, providing personalized services from a diverse spectrum of companies to Oman and the world, under world-class standard.
In addition to his corporate career, Mr. Johnson has been actively involved in the film industry, particularly in Indian cinema. He produced several films including Osthi, Bejawada, Legend and Nawal The Jewel. He has also served as Executive Producer on more than 31 Indian film projects reflecting his diverse interests and entrepreneurial reach across industries.
Mr. Johnson is currently based in Sultanate of Oman, where he resides with his family. He is married to Mrs. Anitha Johnson and they have two children – Mr. Andrew Johnson and Ms. Andrea Johnson.
